Identity, Creativity and Community
Building Altadena Girls
In early 2025, Rowan Productions’ founder helped co-found Altadena Girls, a nonprofit initiative launched in response to the LA wildfires and built to support both immediate relief and long-term community recovery for teenage girls.
What began as an urgent response by 14-year-old Avery Colvert and her Mother, Lauren Sandidge, grew into a sustained movement powered by collaboration, bringing together community leaders, volunteers, donors, and brand partners across the fashion, beauty, entertainment, and lifestyle industries.
This work reflects a belief we carry into every production: that storytelling, resources, and visibility can, and should, be used to help our communities.
The Impact
Through Altadena Girls’ programs, events, and partnerships:
- 1,000,000+ essential items were distributed in 2025 to individuals and families impacted by fires.
- 2,000+ families received direct support through relief efforts and community programming.
- An 11,000 square foot community center was established to provide long-term services, gathering space, and resources.
These outcomes were made possible through the generosity of donors and the support of brand partners who stepped forward during a critical moment.
Brand Partnership & Collaboration
Altadena Girls partnered with a range of established and emerging brands across the fashion and beauty sectors, many of which overlap with the categories Rowan Productions serves.
Working alongside brands outside of a traditional commercial context deepened our understanding of how organizations navigate responsibility, public visibility, and impact, especially in moments that matter.
This experience continues to inform how we collaborate with our clients: thoughtfully, transparently, and with an awareness of the broader cultural landscape.
Ongoing Leadership & Stewardship
Rowan Productions’ founder continues to serve on Altadena Girls’ Board of Directors, remaining actively involved in the organization’s strategic growth and long-term vision.
This ongoing role reflects a commitment not only to launching initiatives but to sustaining them.
